About This Opportunity:
The Production Planner is responsible for executing the business plans established by the Product Management team. With directions from the Product Managers, they help guide the production planning and scheduling process and are on-site support to help resolve specification and/or quality issues. Additionally, the incumbent will have some sales and customer service responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Execute Optimization plans to achieve business goals.

Responsible for managing some existing customer accounts and developing new ones.

Order entry of all trading and industrial customer orders.

Production scheduling.
-
Daily inventory transfers between Brandon & cold storage of other CP distribution centers.

Management and reporting of fresh inventory levels in external distribution centers.
-
Processing claims, credits, and complaints.
-
Production of samples along with scheduling delivery.
-
Reporting production conformance.
-
Implement new SKU/product development with line supervisors.

Monitor, manage and report on inventory levels (including frozen inventory) in external distribution centers.

Provide production planning and scheduling on feature activities.

Help with creating and testing the labels and send China-specific labels to China team for approval.

Create production identifiers (PI numbers) and manager rehandle sheets.

Assist production by generating and sending hold reports to address quality assurance.

Create Stock Transport Orders (STO) to facilitate the transfer of frozen products.

Work with production teams to optimize boning targets and actively reduce overtime expenditures.
Skills & Experience:

Post secondary education; business focus preferred.

Some commercial (sales and/or marketing) experience preferred.

Ability to thrive in fast paced environment.
