Canada Packers is seeking a Senior Manager, Feed Operations to lead feed manufacturing & supporting operations across five Manitoba locations within our swine production business.
This is a senior leadership role for a proven operations professional who can combine strong day-to-day execution with long-term planning, team development, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will bring a practical leadership style, sound financial and operational judgment, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and performance.
Reporting to the Director, Operations & Business Development, the Senior Manager, Feed Operations will play a key role in supporting operational excellence and future growth across the business.

Provide leadership for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of five feed mills, including planning & logistics, fleet oversight and toll feed manufacturing and delivery.
Monitor performance, manage costs, and drive continuous improvement across all areas of feed operations.
Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, and lead capital and maintenance projects to support operational reliability and future growth.
Enhance and maintain effective maintenance programs, operating procedures, and safe work practices.
Lead, coach, and develop operations teams, including performance management, succession planning, and talent development.
Ensure compliance with all quality, regulatory, safety, HR, and company policy requirements.

Post-secondary education in Business, Management, or a related field, combined with experience in manufacturing or plant operations; equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
Minimum 4–5 years of progressive Feed Mill operations management experience, including leadership across multiple locations and teams.
Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
Demonstrated financial and operational acumen, including budgeting, cost control, performance management, and continuous improvement.
Strong communication, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
Knowledge of feed production and transportation economics.
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and ability to travel regularly, primarily within Manitoba.
