About This Opportunity:

Canada Packers is seeking a Senior Manager, Feed Operations to lead feed manufacturing & supporting operations across five Manitoba locations within our swine production business.

This is a senior leadership role for a proven operations professional who can combine strong day-to-day execution with long-term planning, team development, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will bring a practical leadership style, sound financial and operational judgment, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and performance.

Reporting to the Director, Operations & Business Development, the Senior Manager, Feed Operations will play a key role in supporting operational excellence and future growth across the business.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of five feed mills, including planning & logistics, fleet oversight and toll feed manufacturing and delivery.

• Monitor performance, manage costs, and drive continuous improvement across all areas of feed operations.

• Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, and lead capital and maintenance projects to support operational reliability and future growth.

• Enhance and maintain effective maintenance programs, operating procedures, and safe work practices.

• Lead, coach, and develop operations teams, including performance management, succession planning, and talent development.

• Ensure compliance with all quality, regulatory, safety, HR, and company policy requirements.

• Collaborate across functions to support strong execution and business performance.

Skills & Experience:

• Post-secondary education in Business, Management, or a related field, combined with experience in manufacturing or plant operations; equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.

• Minimum 4–5 years of progressive Feed Mill operations management experience, including leadership across multiple locations and teams.

• Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.

• Demonstrated financial and operational acumen, including budgeting, cost control, performance management, and continuous improvement.

• Strong communication, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.

• Knowledge of feed production and transportation economics.

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and ability to travel regularly, primarily within Manitoba.
