Looking for a role where your mechanical skills truly matter? As a Maintenance Technician at Canada Packers, you’ll take the lead in performing both preventative and non-scheduled maintenance on a wide range of production equipment in our feed manufacturing plant.

What you’ll be doing:
This position reports directly to the Senior Supervisor and your daily responsibilities will include:
Maintaining, repairing, and overhauling plant production equipment, buildings, and grounds
Performing preventative maintenance and implementing improvements or modifications
Supporting project teams in the design, installation, and commissioning of new or modified equipment
Keeping accurate records of inspections, repairs, and meter readings
Scheduling, tracking, and completing preventative maintenance on all machinery and boilers
Managing sourcing and inventory control of required parts
Troubleshooting equipment issues and developing solutions independently
Responding to maintenance issues and alarms on a rotational basis, including weekends and holidays
What you’ll bring:
Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Practical experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial setting
Experience with automated manufacturing equipment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of PLC and controls is an asset
Licensed Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), Class 4 Power Engineer, or equivalent work experience
Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license
